Fascists love jargon because it allows them to decouple ideas from reality. To create situations in which a clearly unreasonable proposition flows easily from a rhetorical position.
If they decouple "liberal" and "fascist" from their meanings and make them broad standins for "things we don't like" then a lot of patently nonsensical bullshit follows. Suddenly the category that includes Harvey Milk and John Lewis is in or near category "fascist," right next to, say, Stephen Miller.
