Monday, I visited a local fountain pen shop. The owner offered to let me try out the aluminum and brass Colorverse Shuttle nibs when I asked him about them.

At $45, it might seem a bit pricey, but I'm telling you, it's worth every penny! It holds a ton of ink, but hasn't dripped or splattered yet. The transistions between line weights feels smooth and natural.

Their aluminum nib holder is great, but I opted to make my own from maple on the lathe.
