When they're trying to get out of their eggs, the humidity is very high, 70-80%+ and it gets higher as they start to hatch.
Opening the incubator drops that level which can potentially harden the membrane of not-quite-hatched eggs and shrink wrap them before they are able to get out 😭
We were quick about it but we'll never know if more hatches were prevented from happening because of our error 😢
The four newborns are doing great in their new home! They run they eat they drink they're adorable
