🧵 Energy would be a major issue. I'm imagining a largely electrified system. No solar power during the long winter, so it would have to be wind.
Could a post-industrial society manage to keep producing and recycling enough copper wire and magnets to keep this going?
Possibly with some energy inputs from timber that would grow further south.
