People *do* vote for third parties (hell, I do it b/c I'm in a safe blue state), but that hasn't exactly created viable third parties, has it?
The system is broken. There are several states out there right now that do RCV and proportional awarding of electoral votes. That needs to be expanded. The NPVIC needs to be expanded as well (209 EV so far with 50 pending). This is how we do this.
