The other band who had a massive impact on my life is of Montreal, specifically the album ‘Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?’.
When it came out in 2007 I was at uni and going through the normal early 20s struggle of figuring out who I was, what I was doing, where I belonged.
Hissing Fauna's lyrics, influenced by Kevin Barnes’ struggle with mood disorders and depression, made sense to me. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have waited another 3 years to get diagnosed myself.
