I went to a Mexican restaurant tonight and they gave us the usual chips and salsa to nibble on while waiting for our food. In my lifetime of eating at Mexican restaurants, this has always been complementary. Tonight, they charged us 6 dollars for it. Is this a thing now?
It's been a while since I've eaten at a sit down, be waited on Mexican restaurant, so I guess I'm just out of touch with the restaurant industry.
