Don't know the exact amount I've spent on my PC over time but I think it might be about the same or less.
Bought a 5800X3D for ~270EUR when they were in stock. Upgraded from a 3600.
Mobo I've had since 2019, bought for ~145EUR.
6800XT GPU was 2nd hand paid with cash, I think it was about 350EUR.
Got 32GB of RAM, not sure how much I paid for it in total, doubt it was more than 120EUR, I know a 16GB was 55EUR in early 2025 when I was building a PC for a friend.
Got a decent PSU, two nvme drives both 1TB, a 4TB HDD, a decent case with multiple fans, custom water cooling for the CPU... At least one of those nvme drives I bought for just 70EUR brand new.
If I had to build an equivalent PC today it'd probably be well over 2k
