I still pronounce some words wrong because I had no reference what so ever one how to pronounce things when was a kid. English spelling is silly rando. :)
Some languages have far more phonetic writing. Basically if you see a word you can pronounce it correctly the first time.
(Germanic languages are all a big mess.)
