when he says "bet they're gonna have a miserable time in that house" and you pause briefly and take a deep breath and say "it's a metaphor for segregation bubbles". and he says "oh ...but the kid won't get to play like he does there" and you pause again and take another deep breath and say "the point of the play is that racism exists for them everywhere, but you don't see it until the worlds collide and the filter bubbles burst and the white man bursts into their home... and everyone realize the apartment was a bubble... and the reality is what happens when everyone has to mingle". and he doesn't say much else. and then you have burgers and go home. and you are grateful you are single.
