I’ve seen a few people freaking out about unemployment rates going up. This is actually the entire point of interest rates going up. Too many people with too much money in the system caused inflation. The Fed raised the cost of money and layoffs were the acceptable tradeoff to high prices.

The needs of the many in getting lower prices outweighs those of the few being laid off.
