I'm going to share my humorous-only-in-retrospect experiences here under the tag #FlailingForeigner. For example, that time I accidentally bought blocks of active yeast instead of butter. Didn't taste great.

Today's: I finally discovered that the mysterious brick-shaped packages of coffee are the ground coffee I've been searching for. I thought they must be some other form since they weren't bags of soft grounds. Nope, just packed differently than I expected. Thus ends my weeks of sad instant coffee while my coffee gear continues its transatlantic journey.
