Hi guys!

I'm trying to update Knots to the latest version. I was following "The Road to Knots" guide on starting it about a week ago and it went fairly smoothly. Basically I cloned the source code with git and then compiled and installed it.

However, now when I try to update it, I can't retrieve the latest release with a git checkout command. I get an output that HEAD now points to *string of digits and letters* (which I think is beginning of a commit - not sure if safe to post) and "Update manpages, bash completion, and example bitcoin.conf".

I did research in the web, but nobody seemed to have that problem. I also know very little about git.

Any idea what I should do? How do I update above mentioned?
