One interesting conversation I had with an officer was that the fences are here because “as you know, violence happened last time”. She was being very polite so it took every bit of self control not to ask her to clarify who was the actor in that instance.

(For the record, I know the answer. Video taken by Seattle gay news in May appears to depict SPD attacking disproportionately and unprovoked).

This time there are TWO air gapped rows of fences, which is probably for the best for all parties.
