I'm flattered to be considered knowledgeable but I think the details will make a difference. What kind of flowers, seeds or starts, how big are the rocks... that kind of stuff.
If you put the tags on it, people who have those flowers or ground conditions may also jump in to provide their experience.
Generally, when I do native plants, I do very little ground prep but I do try to match up the preferred conditions from the start. Annual flowers get more babying.
