In my late teens and early 20's... so... first half of the 90's. We used to go to a rock club, in one corner they had what was for the era... a giant video wall of CRT TV's in a 4x4 grid.
They used to play pingu episodes all night whilst a few hundred metal heads head banged away on the dance floor.
Not quite sure why... but rockers all love Pingu... and if you didn't like Pingu... we thought you were sus.
