At this stage, while free speech still mostly exists, perhaps the best response to this kind of lie is ridicule: say that Trump's an idiot, too dumb to know or care about the difference between truth and lies, and also thinks you're an idiot, and if you believe him you are, and if you're going along because you're afraid of him you're a coward. Opponents should just be saying this at every opportunity, that you can't believe a word out of his mouth. Satirize the crap out of him, make him angry.
