A few of these are actually decent. Usually, pretty much all of this kind of quotes feels more like punching down than something uplifting...
Also, there's a typo in #2, a "not" too much. (as it is, it doesn't make it either uplifting or like punching down, but nonsensical, so I assume it's a typo.)
