Made it up Deception Peak yesterday! This is the hardest hike my hiking group tackles (2500' in 6.4 mi, 10,350 to 12,320'; I wasn't sure I was up to it with my heart issues, and because I've been dragging on a few recent high-altitude hikes. Dave noticed that I did better on a day when we'd eaten out the previous night (vs usual low-salt diet) so the morning of the hike, I had some salt with breakfast. I felt great on the hike! \o/
