I can't shake the feeling that this is what capitalism has become. in the ruthless desire for profit, we've stopped trying to make the world better, and we're marching right into global ecosystem collapse

we're setting ourselves up for living hell, with full knowledge of what's happening, but anything else won't achieve the profit goals of the ruling class, so we don't bother trying to reverse course

sure, there are *some* efforts to slow the apocalypse. they're not nearly enough to stop it, though

the question is, then, why aren't we doing anything to stop the ruling class from killing us all?
