As it comes to living good with common people. One thing is donations, other thing is normal help. I sometimes carry groceries, push car in winter or hold doors when someone carries something.
Sometimes I simply listen to their problems.
Sometimes those people later behave in a way that is abusive towards me (or behaved) but most people actually dont. It all depends on person and this is a thing I like to remember.
If a group does that, group can build good relations with people around.
I hope that this will serve well all those who want to live in peace.
