What is a #meme? I've asked myself that question in the past. Is is possible to come up with a concise and specific definition about what a *meme*, in the most general possible abstract sense presumably intended by Richard Dawkins when he coined the term, really is?
(Now it's possible, or probable, that Dawkins didn't actually have a clear notion in mind, and that's why he and his fanbase seem content with handwaving and speculation about "memetics", and little interested in empirical investigation of the topic.)
