"content": "Do you actually understand what \"Cash Surrender Value\" is? \n\nIn Whole Life Insurance, the cash value is the actuarially expected, present discounted value of the future death benefit to be paid, minus the flow of remaining premium payments. \n\nThe Cash Value IS the death benefit. It's not separate or a \"side account\" it cannot be extracted from the death benefit.
