I guess you mean in terms of organization? I think there are two main aspects:
- the invitation list needs to be people who have a lot of interesting things to say, and who you don't mind spending a few days with
- the seminar schedule should not be tightly programmed. there should be opportunities for people to have the floor (if they want this) and then also plenty of time for unstructured discussion
