Look, should he have been assassinated? No, that's clearly wrong. There's a reason killing folks is illegal.
Am I going to lose sleep over him being gone? No. He was a shit human.
But I also have empathy for his family. Presumably, as I have zero insight, his family loved him and misses him. And losing a loved one is horrible. So I'm truly sorry for their loss.
But at the same time, all of this whitewashing being done is also wrong. He. Was. A. Shit. Human. He spouted racist, misogynistic, bigoted things. And from all appearances, he believed the vile things he said.
You can and should decry the political violence, but don't pretend this was some sort of innocent person who should never have been targeted.
