The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) needed to release their updated financial aid software by October, to meet college deadlines. But they didn’t. (Or, rather, their vendor—GDIT—didn’t. But the end result is the same.)
FSA finished testing for the initial launch on December 23, 2023. You know, the time of year when IT teams do their best work. And they launched it a scant week later on December 30. Again, just a top-notch time for a really huge system update. No notes.
