On this evening's bike ride, a big momma bear lumbered across the road in front of me. Her cub skipped across the road after her. After reaching the other side, the cub stayed close to the road and watched me.
When I got about 20 feet or so away, I said, "Hey, bear." Then the cub ran into the woods. I didn't see where momma had disappeared to.
It was one of those awe moments.
