To finally see ourselves in others, to know that we are not alone, or broken or just plain wrong in almost every way, is magical. The impact is hard to describe to anyone who hasn't endured years or decades of self-doubt and self-hatred, because they were so alone and gaslit by society to see that this was their fault and the only solution was to give up everything that made them who they were and become everything that they weren't.
