Climate Strike Friday in Germany
Five years after 2019 more than a million young activists had marched on the streets of German cities
the movement Fridays For Future is able to mobilize not more than some ten thousands all together in more than 100 cities
even though #climatecatastrophe has progressed and parts of the country are hit by record floods.
What happened - besides the fact that young people tend more to the far-right ignoring ecological problems totally
there has been a sharp split in #FFF Germany after Greta Thunberg took to the streets not only against #climatecrisis but against Israel's occupation policy and attacks on #Gaza
Now climate activism is strictly depoliticised equalling anti-colonialism with antisemitism and supporting Israel on the line of German #Staatsrason
After they've distanced themselves from the FFF world movement the speakers of FFF Germany don't wanna talk about #GretaThunberg at all like today in Deutschlandfunk asking Carla Reemtsma three times about their relation to #Greta only to get totally evasive answers.
Not to converge the problems of climate catastrophe, #ecocide #colonialism and #war imo
means to omit relevant parts of the problem of man-made world destruction
bringing about nothing more than further regression into private life or feelgood activism that never really collides wiith the powers that be.
