No bro, it's exactly the opposite. Why the hell would I listen to someone else if I know they are just going to make me feel bad and insecure about my own beliefs? I guaruntee you don't truly understand any of the points of view that you are elevating in such a condescending and masturbatory way. Nostr is a platform with a small number of users who mostly agree with eachother. You have never experienced the battles that created the points of view you claim to be interested in.
The only reason I post and engage with others is because I'm confident enough that I can afford to be openminded. It is because I am so satisfied and engaged that I am willing to go out and have serious engagements with people who disagree with me. I can afford to understand their perspective, and what's more, because of my position I WANT to understand their perspective. Understanding why people are wrong and disagree with me is important and valuable.
I just wish there were more people I disagreed with on Nostr. I fucking hate echo chambers. I want to challenge myself and others so we can improve our beliefs and our rhetoric. So we can become better thinkers and communicators. Sitting around monologuing at people who accept most of what we say is a torturous waste of human potential.
