Well maybe because Lula himself was jailed following massively financed propaganda about fraud & corruption with financial support of the US. So he probably finds it easier to believe that all those who confront US power are indeed victims of massive propaganda.
I don’t think highly of Maduro really but if you think the American financed side is immune to lie, I can say just keep on observing for a few more decades. One day it may come to your place.
