Update:
Issue 1: Ground issue confirmed. Corrosion built up on terminals and multiple grounding points on frame. Also noticed that multiple ground points had been painted and the paint interfered with the connection.
Issue 2: "fuel rail" issue. That's a new one on me... never heard of this. Probably might understand it under a different named description though.
Hopefully i get back on the road this afternoon
