no its not ridiculous because it's not true. who is elected and who holds power and why is important. the CPC are not wealthy elites exclusively like the DNC is, they are people from all walks of life who dedicate themselves to public service. being a member of the CPC requires taking an oath to put the peoples' interest above all else, and this is taken seriously and actually enforced. corruption is actually illegal in china, and it's actually prosecuted. there are other parties represented in government for people who are not aligned with the CPC but nevertheless have important contributions to make to said government. support for the CPC in general among chinese people is high because it actually represents their interests and has methods of addressing greivances. they eliminated absolute poverty a half decade back. there's over a billion people in china, no matter what racist colonialist fantasy you have, ain't enough guns to point at everyone's heads to force them to even pay lip services to something they don't like, and chinese history is littered with ideologies and methods of governance that tried.
