We all have seen whats happening in UK with the new Digital ID thats is probably going to come to the rest of the world

As a web designer, Im starting to ditch most of the propetary software I use, and replace it with open source alternatives

Clearly, sooner or later they are going to implement restrictions in all kind of services and products including software

So why not to start using open and free sofware??

This apply to all kind of areas or profesionals, not just designers and devs

Review the tools you are using in your life or biz and replace for free software if you can
