Our main problems with Fedora are actually weird packaging decisions for libraries we depend on, when they go through SOVERSION bumps. (That and the license server bullshit for RHEL. I have no idea how far that applies for different variants.)
But if you have users, it might be worth it. I guess for something like ngscopeclient, Fedora/RH might not be that rare to find as a desktop.
