This is not formalised right now, and there is no documented process for this (yet), mostly because we want to first see if this is viable (and that it will probably overwhelm the current team tbh), but for example Emelia 👸🏻 (npub1ecs…u4wq) is doing it, and she has been able to do significant improvements to some parts of the code and those have been merged.
On the other side, others reached out, then disappeared after realising the real amount of work needed for what they wanted to do
