Well, within a few months a bunch of wallets with long term support announced they were no longer supporting Monero and all directed their users to Cake Wallet. Even tiny open source wallets such as MyMonero shut down and did the same. If nearly every user of a particular "privacy currency" had the same wallet provider, would that provider not be perfectly positioned to correlate a large number of transactions?
