Finished reading the last book from late Terry Pratchett's Discworld. In the afterword, there's a mention of his writing habits - that he wrote bits and pieces of lore/stories, sometimes even years in advance, and gradually glued them together, begrudgingly stopping the editing and rewriting process after he was forced to send the final manuscript for printing.
Interesting approach. Might try it later.
