almost every job I've ever had required me to learn new specialist software. It's just a standard facet of modern work.
So expecting people to learn things like LibreOffice or Vivaldi or whatever really isn't that big a deal. Moving to a user-friendly Linux isn't a bigger jump than moving between major versions of Windows.
The biggest barrier is fear and attitude.
