New bird alert! New bird alert! Today we saw our first ever Mountain Plovers. They're in southeast Arizona for the winter and they were hanging out with larger Killdeers. We don't get a lot of shorebirds in our area, so we're grateful for the water reclamation facilities that also serve as nature parks.
