I didn’t even bother trying to obfuscate it, because I knew plenty of people who had tried obfuscating an email address online, only to have it start getting spam. At the time, it was worth it for spammers to hire humans (in cheap countries) to look for email addresses and type them into a database. No obfuscation is proof against that.
