you know despite that, it's actually been a really good day. I took a break around dinner time and got to hang out with my son, and he made a couple really big leaps today:

he sat on the toddler potty (he's been refusing for MONTHS and he'd never done it before)

he shattered a plate, but then told his mommy it was on purpose (didn't lie), said sorry and then waited quietly in his room (without knocking anything over or being mischievous like he normally would've) and then accepted his punishment (some of his toys were off limits for a bit) without complaints
