(I was always disturbed by Johnson for different reasons. As someone who was getting their British news on an occasional basis the dominance of Johnson in the media for many years before he became prime minister was bizarre. It was plainly obvious to me that there was an enormous piece of machinery at work to get Johnson into power that maybe Brits were missing it as they'd dismiss his antics as entertainment.)
