Despite what's happening right now with core v30, I think Monero's exposure to the threat of malicious developper infiltration is FAR greater than Bitcoin's.
Bitcoin's source code is the most replicated and well understood out of all cryptocurrencies. At least most of us can get a gist on how evil devs tamper with Satoshi's vision.
If Monero were attacked via this vector, it'll probably go unoticed.
Being able to review of cryptographic code is a rare skill. The higher the cryptographic standard, the rarer the experienced devs.
