Not too proud to admit that I was thirty-nine years old before I learned that when a bank issues a loan, it created that money out of nothing. I thought they were lending money they had and just charging me interest.
I graduated high school, served in the military, and have a bachelor's degree.
I can't help but think that economic literacy is intentionally kept from folks.
Also, that discovery roughly coincides with my birth as a bitcoiner.
