The Star Trek reboot movies are sorta okay if you don’t see them as Star Trek. They’re basically Star Wars. But they aren’t poorly directed from a blockbuster filmmaking perspective. They’re well shot and paced but lack the essence of what Star Trek is. Star Trek: Beyond is probably the best of nu-trek and that’s not high praise. Anyways, it’s been like 10 years since I’ve seen it so I might not like it anymore lol
