I can follow all of what you are saying. I still don't understand why it should be a good idea to raise the OP_return limit. You didn't address the argument from GrassFedBitcoin (nprofile…566r) that a higher data limit could lead to malicious or illegal data on the blockchain. If Bitcoin is a monetary system, like you said, why should we make it possible to use it as a database for non-monetary data?
