This video is cued to a good spot to see basic Canadian drill in action. Single soldier, marching, coming to a stop. I would do this exactly the same, from my training 40 years ago. It's similar to US drill, but it's not the same. UK drill is also similar, but the foot stamp is much lower and taken more quickly.
