It perplexes me that there are so many people who seem unperturbed by basic existential and metaphysical questions. It makes me feel like maybe it's my brain that's "faulty" in some sense: it's short circuiting when I can't find a satisfying answer to why anything should exist or how it is I'm conscious. Maybe my brain isn't delivering a feeling of intellectual satisfaction when it's supposed to? Do people who are interested in philosophy have malfunctioning brains in some sense? #philosophy
