This 'living in interesting times' thing sucks big time.
We tend to forget how good we had it in the mid 1980s through the 1990s. I mean, things happened then and much of what is happening today was in embryo. But at the time it didn't feel like the Collapse of the Roman Empire being re-enacted by the stupidest and worst people.
